Things are about to turn even nastier between Eva Price and Johnny Connor in Coronation Street tonight when a mediation session talking about the future of baby Susie ends in a slanging match. And it will drive Johnny to take some drastic action.

With relations at an all time low, the meeting is a last attempt to deal with things amicably but when Johnny presents the doctored birth certificate, Eva has some explaining to do and is forced to try and defend herself.

Feeling at a loss, she then points out that Jenny isn’t exactly a safe pair of hands considering she was has a criminal record for kidnapping Jack Webster when he was a toddler. As Eva storms out, Johnny is left fuming that Jenny may have ruined this for them and he lashes out, leaving her frightened.

Having kidnapped his granddaughter, Johnny will hide out in a hotel and when he then sees a televised plea from an upset Eva, he knows he has crossed a line and there may be no way back for him.

Liz McDonald will soon join him and try to talk him round but he shocks her by suggesting that they run away with Susie together and go to Spain. But will Liz be tempted by this foolhardy plan due to her strong feelings for Johnny?

Or will she be the one to turn him in and ensure that Susie is back with her mum, where she belongs?

The scenes are building up to Catherine Tyldesley’s final episodes as Eva which will air at the beginning of next month. It’s going to be emotional.

Coronation Street continues on Monday 16th July at 7:30pm and 9:30pm on ITV.
